2 Councils and 4 Commissions |
PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL
The Parish Pastoral Council is the primary and established means for Parishioners and the Pastor to respond to the Pastoral Mission of the Church. Council Members listen to the needs and hopes of the Pastor/Parishioners, investigate, reflect upon and propose conclusions. Offers up, on a regular basis, an opportunity to create a vision for the Parish Community and design a planning process to bring this vision to fruition. The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) is governed by norms determined by the Diocesan Bishop.
The Council is also the overseeing entity for the four Parish Commissions: Education/Formation, Parish Life, Social Justice and Spiritual Development.
Parishioners are invited to utilize the Parishioner Suggestion program (established March 2019) to surface their proposals and are encouraged to present them at a regularly scheduled Council meeting. The Council meets every other month on the 3rd Tuesday (October, December, February, April, June – refer to Parish Calendar).
FINANCE COUNCIL
The Parish Finance Council assists the Pastor in the administration of the Parish financial decisions. It acts as a reference resource and advisory panel to the Pastor for all financial aspects of the Parish. It is comprised of four sub-committees: Budget, Personnel & Policies, Stewardship & Development, and Building & Grounds. There are four meetings held each year, on a quarterly basis and the sub-committees meet as required to prepare reports and feedback for the Finance Council’s quarterly meetings.
